Modernism in the Church Today
Jesus’ disciples asked him what sign will there be at the end of the age. Jesus replied, “See that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and they will deceive many.” (Mt 24:4). Today many are being deceived by modernists in the Church, who are overturning age-old teachings and adapting to the culture of the age. The Church has been infiltrated by liberals, progressives, globalists, and woke ideologues.
As such, many Catholics are being led astray. Many no longer hear the authentic gospel of salvation in Jesus. Many are even made comfortable in their sinful states. As part of the end of the age, “many will be led into sin; …. and because of the increase of evildoing, the love of many will grow cold.” (Mt 24:10a,12). We are in a dire situation. Souls are being lost.
It is essential that we recognize the deceptions of the enemy. It is crucial that we know the word of God, which gives us light and guidance. We must oppose and speak out against the modernists in our midst. We must rise in defense of Christ and his Church.
